Alin is a Technical Director based in our London office. He is a Chartered engineer with 15 years of industry experience across the UK and abroad. Alin understands the performance aspects of the building envelope and options and can translate this into the most appropriate M&E and environmental solution for the building. He is an excellent communicator and team leader who will ensure that project design development and integration of the mechanical services will be undertaken with the architectural team.

Alistair’s 30 years’ experience covers a vast number of projects. Especially in higher education and retail. Plus, his appreciation of M&E design and implications is second to none. This helps ensure his projects run smoothly and efficiently.

André has a Master’s Degree in the Conservation of Historic Buildings and has had the privilege to work on some of the most well-known listed buildings in London and beyond. His extensive experience working on new builds and the refurbishment of existing buildings are key in steering the proposed structural engineering design.

Andrew has over ten years’ experience across projects of varying complexity. It’s seen him complete commissions across the UK and overseas. He offers an in-depth understanding of large infrastructure projects and projects with complex requirements.

Carol is a Technical Director based in our Edinburgh office. She leads the BIM programme for Harley Haddow and is responsible for drawing/modelling production and resourcing on our projects. She has 30 years of experience in the industry. Carol specialises in drawing production and management and has extensive knowledge of BIM software applications and processes. She has worked on a wide variety of building projects in healthcare, industrial, education, commercial and retail sectors both in the UK and abroad. She has experience in developing standards, processes and best practice for implementation across the business.

Chris has extensive experience in the design and construction of both new build and refurbishment projects across most construction sectors. Chris’s responsibilities include supervision of the Civil & Structural design team, project delivery, project management and SER Certification. During his career, he has led many design projects with a well natured and thorough approach that sees him popular with clients and fellow professionals. Chris also takes a lead role in the training and developing of graduates and ICE trainees.

Chris has over 30 years’ experience of the design and delivery of projects over the UK and overseas in the MENA regions. His experience ranges across all sectors with particular expertise in the cultural & leisure and education sectors involving the refurbishment and conservation of heritage buildings. He has a particular expertise in the initial stages of a project working with the other design team members to shape the building solution. He adopts a hands-on approach retaining involvement from inception to completion.

Colin’s three-decade expertise covers a wide scope of projects, from small refurbishments to multi-million-pound developments across the UK. He’s worked with local authorities, academia and global consultancies. He continues to look for innovation in all projects. Colin is also an SER Certifier.

Daniel has almost a decade of experience in the industry and demonstrates a proactive and developed aptitude for both Energy and Mechanical Design. His experience spans a number of sectors and includes involvement from concept design to post occupancy evaluation. Specific sector experience includes residential, retail, education, healthcare, laboratories and industrial.

Emma Read has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked with both developers and consultancies. She oversees the Business Support department, with particular focus on the people and places of our business. Emma is dedicated to fostering a positive culture and improving employee experience, continuously reviewing systems and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation.

Ewan is an engineer who believes he can make a positive impact on climate change through his career in Engineering. He brings extensive experience in refurbishment and reuse of existing historic and listed buildings to our Edinburgh C&S team. Ewan also specialises in Mass Timber construction and sustainability. Building on this Ewan is pioneering Harley Haddow’s work on Embodied Carbon and works closely with our Energy and Sustainability team.

James is a skilled and experienced design engineer, having followed a continuous career within the Construction Industry for over 20 years. He is responsible for the design and management of a diverse portfolio of projects, including education, scientific, leisure and commercial properties. His role also includes the management of engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and quality standards are maintained.

Phillip is a Technical Director for the Building Performance & Sustainability team, and manages the team carrying out thermal modelling, compliance reporting and SAP/SBEM compliance for all projects across Harley Haddow offices. He is an experienced engineer and has worked on diverse range of projects in multiple sectors. He has been involved in many projects carrying out feasibility studies and implementation recommendations to improve building performance and develop low carbon strategies.

Scott has almost a decade experience in the design of building structures. He has extensive experience across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on medium and high-rise residential developments. He has significant experience working on complex refurbishment and conservation projects and has worked extensively with a number of local authorities to assist with the identification and remediation of various building defects. Scott is also an SER Certification Coordinator.
